Judge Breaks Law, Gets Arrested

The Left freaks out and defends the (alleged) criminal… again!

You may be aware of this story already. Before we dig in, let us begin with a message from Border Czar, Tom Homan, whose official title is White House Executive Associate Director of Enforcement and Removal Operations. He recently said the following:

“In forty years of doing this job, people always say ‘Why are you so emotional… when you testify, why are you so emotional on networks?’ Because if they wore my shoes for forty years, they’d understand why I’m emotional. I’ve talked to little girls as young as nine years old who were raped multiple times by the cartel members. You know, when you get to your knees and you talk to that little girl and everything innocent and pure has been ripped from her…

“When you listen to the Laken Riley 17 minutes of that young lady fighting for her life… Don’t just think ‘okay, a young woman died.’ Think of how she died, the terror that she went through. And these children that are sexually assaulted.

“I stood on the back of a tractor trailer with 19 dead people at my feet that baked to death. Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime. And so every sick person we take off the streets, especially child rapists, it makes this country much safer. Every illegal alien we arrest, public safety threat, one at a time makes this country safer.”

Until the rest of us have done the dirty work of looking that nine-year-old girl in the eye, or of listening to the dying battle of a young woman being raped and murdered, or of witnessing a truckload of cooked human remains… well, until then, maybe a little effort is warranted to understand someone in his position.

His experiences are especially important to bear in mind as we learn about the case of Milwaukee County (Wisconsin) Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan, who was recently arrested by the FBI. The information about this case has become surprisingly confusing in light of the modern progressive Leftist media’s refusal to be honest about the circumstances of Judge Dugan’s arrest. Shall we try to understand for ourselves?

The Accusation

According to FBI Director Kash Patel:

“Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction — after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week.

“We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest.

“Thankfully, our agents chased down the perp on foot and he's been in custody since, but the Judge's obstruction created increased danger to the public.”

Judge Dugan faces a charge of "concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest." She allegedly escorted an illegal immigrant, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, and his lawyer out of the courtroom with the intent of aiding him in evading arrest by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. Allegedly, Judge Dugan was made aware that agents were in the courthouse on April 18 to arrest Flores-Ruiz, and Dugan took action to help him avoid the agents while exiting the building. Flores-Ruiz managed to escape the building only to be tracked down a short time later.

Perspective Check

Before we get too caught up in the assumption of Judge Dugan’s criminality, let us balance it with the report that she raised questions about the validity of the arrest warrant for Flores-Ruiz. Specifically, she reportedly noted that the warrant was not signed by a judge and she directed the agents to consult with the court’s chief judge. It was during that time that Judge Dugan escorted Flores-Ruiz and his attorney through the courthouse to a non-public exit. Were Dugan’s actions in violation of law if the warrant was invalid?

Who Was This Guy?

Perhaps it is worth understanding more about the Mexican citizen for whom Judge Dugan sacrificed her career in a failed effort to help him evade law enforcement.

Eduardo Flores-Ruiz was in court on April 18, 2025 facing three counts of battery/domestic violence stemming from a March 12 dispute between the accused his roommates. He was accused of punching one roommate 30 times and hitting a woman who attempted to break up the fight. Flores-Ruiz plead not guilty.

ICE caught wind of his charges. Flores-Ruiz was already in their system after being deported by Barack Obama’s administration back in 2013. The Milwaukee County Jail submitted Flores-Ruiz’s fingerprints and photo to federal databases following the domestic violence incident, triggering ICE to pursue the arrest.

So, Dugan committed this crime (allegedly) to help a one-time Obama deportee facing multiple counts of battery/domestic violence.

The Coverage

In what should be no surprise to anyone at this point, the mainstream modern progressive Leftist media apparatus began singing the same refrain in unison: this is “a major escalation” in the Trump administration’s fight over immigration and in the battle with the judiciary.

One significant detail that the progressive media leaves out: This guy was in the United States illegally. The progressive media simply refers to him as an immigrant. He previously got his due process in 2013, which resulted in his deportation.

One former prosecutor went on CNN to make the point that the FBI only arrested Judge Dugan to make a spectacle. It seems that ICE did not want there to be a spectacle, but Judge Dugan made the decision to (allegedly) break the law. The FBI arrested an alleged criminal. If the point is to take a criminal off the streets (or out of the courtroom), then an arrest is called for. If the point is to send a message to all judges or other people in a position to assist someone who is facing arrest, then an arrest is called for. Either way, an argument can be made that an arrest was called for.

The Ultra-Lefty Democrat Response

Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota had this to say via Twitter/X:

“This is not normal. The Administration’s arrest of a sitting judge in Wisconsin is a drastic move that threatens the rule of law. While we don’t have all the details, this is a grave step and undermines our system of checks and balances.”

If an accountant breaks the law, she should be arrested, right? If a farmer breaks the law, she should be arrested, right? If a judge breaks the law, she should be arrested. Right??

Senator Klobuchar, if you do not have all the details, why are you assuming “this is a grave step” at all? If it is true that this individual used her position as a judge to help an illegal immigrant/criminal evade federal agents, this seems to actually be a fine example of checks and balances.

The “Moderate” Democrat Response

Democrat Senator from California, Ro Khanna, had this to say via Twitter/X:

“This morning, the Trump administration’s FBI, headed by Kash Patel, arrested a Wisconsin judge for simply standing up for the rights of immigrants. This is without any historical precedent and truly terrifying. Every American, every person who cares about the rule of law and freedom needs to stand up and speak out. We need to demand the release of this Judge and have due process and the rule of law.”

Are you picking up on any missing context here? Let’s break down the lies:

• Rather than “simply standing up for the rights of immigrants,” Judge Dugan (allegedly) broke the law.

• The origin of the Flores-Ruiz being in the system, was that he had previously been deported and was now in the U.S. illegally. So, the Judge’s actions did not pertain to the “rights of immigrants,” but had to do with protecting an illegal immigrant being pursued by federal agents.

• If the allegations prove true, “Every American, every person who cares about the rule of law and freedom needs to stand up and speak out” in favor of this Judge facing punishment for her crimes.

• Since Judge Dugan is facing charges and is going through the legal process, she is receiving due process and will face punishment per the rule of law.

Lies can be so concise. It really does take effort to seek and understand the truth. And to be able to dismantle the lies.

More Delusional Democratic Dialogue

In a move that almost immediately discredits her, Representative from Oregon, Maxine Dexter, appeared on MSNBC. She provided this insight:

“A federal judge being taken into custody without clarity of what the charges or why, what infraction there has been, is without question a very dangerous signal about what is happening… The people willing to protect immigrants from being deported without due process are the target here.”

Can a statement be full of omissions? It can certainly be full of deceit.

Hannah Dugan is not a federal judge. There was clarity of what the charges were. It is a signal, but not a dangerous one; the signal is that people willing to break the law are likely to face consequences (unless their last name is Biden).

Due Process

One final note on this whole mess: The modern progressive anti-Trump Left machine really likes to use the term “due process” when discussing how the administration is handling those who are in the U.S. illegally. We get it. The Leftist take on this is everyone who is present in the United States, legally or otherwise, is owed due process. The Leftists call for due process when it is convenient for attacking their political opposition, but they are also willing to disregard due process when it is, well, convenient for attacking their political opposition. They feign principles. It also seems that Leftists are unwilling to discuss the implications of due process for over ten million illegal aliens, many of whom are most definitely violent criminals.

The whole point of the legal principle of due process is to ensure fair treatment through a judicial process. Due process demands respect for all legal rights owed to a person. Due process is meant to be protection for individuals from arbitrary government actions and to provide a guarantee that legal proceedings follow the rules and principles established by law.

Bear in mind that there is also due process for legally entering the United States. How is it that Leftists are so willing to overlook the due process for legal entry? There are specific legal procedures for obtaining visas, asylum, or other forms of entry. Those who circumvent those procedures have violated due process to enter the U.S.

There is a point when due process absolutely should be abandoned. Take an active shooter scenario, for instance. Would the average Leftist freak out about a police officer shooting to kill someone who has already murdered multiple people? Active shooters do not receive the luxury of due process because they are an active threat to the safety and wellbeing of the public. To what degree is rampant immigration a threat to the safety and wellbeing of the public? Perhaps we would ask Laken Riley, had she not been raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant.

At what point should an illegal alien no longer be afforded due process? Take Mr. Flores-Ruiz, for instance. He was previously deported by the Deporter-in-Chief in 2013. He enjoyed the privilege of due process at that time. His fingerprints were in the law enforcement databases since then. Law enforcement has evidence to verify that this is the same person. What additional process is this guy due? Should law enforcement conduct a check to determine if he has been granted legal status since his 2013 deportation? What else would satisfy the Leftists who are now obsessed with due process? Do the Leftists now want DOUBLE due process??

A Little Perspective

Not to belittle the concerns of those who are freaking out about what they view as an authoritarian president abusing his powers as they pertain to border security and immigration (no, we are not talking about Biden this time), it is worth keeping a least a little perspective. In terms of the combination of deportations and border removals, Trump’s average numbers are LOWER than Biden’s. Now, keep in mind that Biden’s numbers were high due to removals at the border because ICE had its hands full at the border thanks to Biden’s refusal to provide some semblance of border security until the last few months of his presidency. Trump has since essentially locked the border down. Trump is deporting more than Biden since his border security approach has resulted in less need for border removals. If you, like the vast majority of Americans, saw the Biden migrant crisis as a problem, then Trump is demonstrating success in this area (despite the dramatized stories onto which the Leftist media gloms).

The Era of Protecting Criminals

The Left is outraged that the Trump administration would go after a sitting judge. MAGA and the Right is shocked that the Left would defend a criminal… again. Recall that the Leftist media has recently plastered a Salvadoran man all over media as a poster child for Trump’s overreach, while totally disregarding his criminal history — and insanely demanding that El Salvador actually deport one of their own citizens!

Speaking of… More info keeps coming out about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and it is now his wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, who finds herself at the center of the story. The father of Jennifer’s other kids (who is also currently in prison) attempted to gain custody of their children in 2018 after Kilmar Abrego Garcia came into the picture because he was “a gang member,” according to the filing. Also, audio recordings recently emerged of his wife detailing the abuse that she suffered at his hands. She actually filed for protective orders to keep him away multiple times. In every other instance of a man beating the hell out of a woman, The Left would jump at the chance to ignore all other facts in defense of the woman. The Left inexplicably but dutifully defends this man without even taking the time to understand why they are defending him.

It gets better, body cam footage has emerged from when Garcia was pulled over in 2022 with a van full of undocumented aliens in what officers concluded was a human trafficking operations. Biden’s FBI reportedly ordered the officers to release Garcia and the people he was trafficking. For what its worth, the van that Garcia was driving was owned by a man named Jose Ramon Hernandez-Reyes (Garcia explained his boss owned the vehicle), who pled guilty in 2020 to the 2019 crime of aiding and abetting the illegal transportation of an alien while in the United States. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck, right? If he drives a load of illegal immigrants across the country in a van owned by an admitted human trafficker, he might be human trafficking!

There are literally old ladies out on the streets, those who have been convinced by media rhetoric to hate Donald Trump out on the streets, holding signs up demanding that this woman-batterer, this smuggler, this human trafficker be brought back to the U.S. It is utter insanity!

Now there is this judge. All the information that has been made public thus far suggests that she did, indeed, break the law. If, through due process, Judge Dugan was shown to have committed a crime, then that makes her what, exactly? A criminal!

Another example, in case you missed it: The New York Times published this article last week, entitled “Police Arrest a Man They Say Abused a Corpse on the R Train.” So, it seems a guy died “of natural causes” on the NY subway and, instead of reporting it to authorities, it seems a man by the name of Felix Rojas gave into the impulse to rob and desecrate the corpse. In terms of omitting key details from a headline, The NY Times gets an A+. It turns out that the “man” was a 44-year-old Mexican citizen and illegal alien known by ICE to have crossed the southern border multiple times. It also turns out the “abuse” was rape. The guy raped a dead man’s body on a fricking train! And the The NY Times shamefully ran cover for the guy, claiming that “Mr. Rojas did not have a criminal history”. Why exclude the criminality of illegally entering the United States? Perhaps because The NY Times is a puppet of the modern progressive Left?

A man with a history of abuse, a judge helping a criminal evade law enforcement, a corpse racist… Who is The Left going to stand up for next? They are desperate to make everything about Trump, overreach, and racism. They are willing to sacrifice their own principles, if not their own humanity, to avoid confronting the truth and to make Trump look as awful as possible. TO WHAT END?!?!

Bringing It On Home

It is difficult to align with the Left on this particular story about a judge’s sacrifice when they are so willing to SO blatantly ignore and omit the (alleged) facts of the story. They simply refuse to acknowledge the rationale for this judge’s arrest. In doing so, they undermine their own credibility and further “erode the trust in media,” to use a phrase that they use to explain why fewer people are tuning into their deceit.

Ever in pursuit of a place to meet in the middle, we have found the deportation topic to be a tough one. If you support the allowance of all illegal aliens to stay legally, you are on one extreme. If you believe all illegal aliens should be deported, you are on the other extreme. But what does that squishy middle look like?

We propose a new immigration program that takes a new approach. We need some ground rules before we arrive at a meet-me-in-the-middle solution. For the sake of advancing the conversation, let us start here: There is a need for immigrant labor within the U.S., there is a need for a mechanism for those in need of escaping terrible conditions to seek asylum, and there is a need for an immigration program controlled by the U.S. (not a cartel) to facilitate both. Whether you completely agree with those claims or not, let this be our starting point.

What should a revamped immigration program look like? We propose that a successful and orderly immigration program will address the following:

• Facilitation of the entry of aliens (actually making it safe and easy), while also completely closing our unsecured borders to illegal immigration

• Promotion of fair pay and better working conditions

• Elimination of the labor black market

• Elimination of the need for mass deportations

• Clarification of rules about the citizenship and rights of aliens, including: providing clarity about the citizenship of children born in the U.S. under this program, about participation in federal programs, and about requirements for health insurance

• Establishment of protocols for removing aliens who attempt to stay in the U.S. beyond the time they agreed to stay, while maintaining the dignity of the individual and respect for their family unit

• Establishment of incentives for aliens to enter legally through enabling functionality within society by permitting aliens to: open bank accounts, obtain identification/driver’s licenses, attend school, get a library card, rent a place to live, secure loans, and contribute to the economy

• Establishment of controls/limits to access to the immigration program, making sure the program is able to monitor and modulate the volume of aliens entering at any time

• Promotion of tolerance of aliens

• A striking of a balance between conservative and progressive concerns (ooh, that sounds like meeting in the middle, doesn’t it?!)

Does it have to be more difficult than this? A solution exists, we just have to find it. It can be a good thing for everyone. The conversation does not have to be so polarized. It should not be. Instead, it should be about creating a successful and orderly program.

If we had such a program in place, then people like Judge Dugan would not have to throw away their freedom and career to give an illegal alien five more minutes before being detained. Unfortunately, such a program is unattainable in a polarized government. That’s why we need voters to understand the importance of voting for representatives who are willing to meet in the middle.

Such a program does not exist, however. Thus, in dealing with the extreme situation of unmitigated immigration over the course of President Biden’s tenure in the White House, the current president is taking aggressive action. In the case of Flores-Ruiz, there was a legal warrant for his arrest and the ICE agents were only fulfilling their duties. Whether or not Judge Dugan agrees with President Trump’s aggressive action or the merits of the arrest warrant, she has no right to take action in violation of law. To do so makes her a criminal, right?

We believe there is a path to meeting in the middle on this issue. Dying on the Kilmar Abrego Garcia hill is not the path. Helping illegal aliens evade law enforcement is not the path. Listening to members of the media infected by the modern progressive Left is not the path. Those are the paths to radical thought. Those are the paths to division. Those paths require turning off one’s own intelligence. We live in times in which we truly need intelligence and thoughtfulness to prevail. We have the choice to succumb to the lies that have convinced so many people to stand up for women-batterers and human traffickers. What will it take for those people to recognize that they have been fooled?

Going forward, we believe that YOUR intelligence will prevail. Be skeptical of the stories told by the mainstream media. Question everything. Assume that you are being lied to. Please do YOUR part to help meet in the middle!
